Dear Rowing Family,
I am delighted to invite you on behalf of the Duisburg Regatta club and the German Rowing Federation to the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships at our beautiful regatta venue in Duisburg, Germany.
Twenty-five years after hosting the 2001 World Rowing Junior Championships, we eagerly anticipate welcoming the global rowing community once again. Over the years, we have hosted numerous
national and international regattas and undertaken extensive modernization efforts to ensure a world-class infrastructure for this prestigious event.
This year marks the completion of our latest upgrades. Over the past two years, we have rebuilt our office area and finish tower to meet the highest standards required for such a competition. Our grandstand has also undergone a complete renovation, now offering sheltered seating to provide optimal
conditions for spectators, regardless of the weather. This project completes the comprehensive modernization of our venue, which began in 2006 with the construction of our side channel
connecting the finish area to the start, and included the modernization of our boat storage area, sanitary facilities, and accommodation options, completed in 2017.
With these enhancements, we are excited to open our modern venue to the global rowing family for the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships. We warmly invite you to join us for thrilling races and to witness the emergence of the next generation of elite athletes.
Organising such a prestigious event requires significant effort and would not be possible without the invaluable support of our partners and volunteers, who have consistently contributed to the success of our regattas. We deeply thank these dedicated organizations and individuals for their unwavering
commitment and hard work.
We look forward to fair competition, close races, and a fantastic week with the World Rowing family at our wonderful regatta course in Duisburg, Germany.
