Secure Your Seats Now for the U23 World Championships in Duisburg

The starting signal has been given: Tickets for the World Rowing Under 23 Championships 2026, which will take place from July 23 to 26 at the Duisburg regatta course, are now available. This marks the beginning of the exciting final phase of anticipation – and offers sports fans the chance to secure the best seats early for a top-class international event.

When the world’s best young rowers compete in Duisburg, thrilling races and emotional, goosebump moments are guaranteed. The modernized grandstand, with over 2,000 seats in the finish area as well as an additional standing area, provides ideal conditions for an unforgettable live experience. Exclusive hospitality offerings are also available in the new regatta building directly next to the medal ceremony area. In addition to day tickets, visitors can purchase attractive packages for the final days or even for the entire event.

“We are hoping for a full grandstand and a fantastic atmosphere,” says Tobias Weysters, President of the Organizing Committee. “The World University Games last year impressively demonstrated the potential of the Duisburg regatta course. We want to build on that and take the experience to the next level with the World Rowing Under 23 Championships.”

Very Good Planning Status – Focus on the Next Milestones

In parallel with the start of ticket sales, preparations continue at full speed – and the organizing team is building on a very strong planning status. To further refine the next steps, two key milestones are scheduled in the coming days.

Last weekend, the entire organizing committee came together for an intensive strategy meeting. The goal was to align on the current status across all areas, compile open points, and define the next steps in detailed planning.

Immediately afterward, the next important international appointment follows: during the upcoming site visit, both the Technical Delegate and the Event Manager from the international federation, World Rowing, are expected in Duisburg. Together with the local organizing team, they will review the current preparation status and coordinate the remaining topics in detail.

Volunteers – The Backbone of the Event

Despite the strong progress already achieved, an intensive phase of work still lies ahead. Over the next three months, numerous organizational details must be further developed and implemented.

“We have demanding weeks ahead to deliver an optimally organized World Championship on the regatta course,” says Weysters. “This would not be possible without our entirely volunteer-based regatta staff and the many dedicated volunteers.” In total, more than 120 volunteers will be on duty during the event, making a significant contribution to its success.

At the same time, the organizing team invites all interested individuals to become part of this international sporting event. Whether in sport-related roles, organization, or guest services – there is a wide range of opportunities offering a unique behind-the-scenes experience of a World Championship and the chance to actively contribute to its success.

With the launch of ticket sales and a clear roadmap for the coming weeks, anticipation is growing for a major sporting highlight in Duisburg. Now is the perfect time to secure tickets or get involved as a volunteer and become part of an unforgettable international rowing event.
