The entry list is complete. Entries for the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships officially closed this week. From 23 to 26 July, the world’s top young rowing talents from 50 nations will compete at the Duisburg Regatta Course for world championship titles. Peru became the final nation to confirm its participation on Monday. Medals will be contested in 21 boat classes under the auspices of World Rowing, with Regatta Duisburg providing a world-class stage for the next generation of athletes.
Around 1,300 athletes, coaches and team officials will be in Duisburg across the four days of racing. Major rowing nations including China, France, Great Britain and the United States have all entered strong teams. In addition, rowers from a number of developing rowing nations will participate through World Rowing’s Development Programme, including Somalia, Kuwait and Kazakhstan. Peru is also taking advantage of the opportunity to gain valuable international experience alongside the world’s best young athletes.
Race Director Tobias Weysters commented on the entries:
“Fifty nations are in line with our expectations and reflect the participation levels seen at recent World Rowing Under 23 Championships. We are well prepared and look forward to welcoming the rowing world to Duisburg.”
Following the 2020 European Under 23 Rowing Championships and the rowing events at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, alongside the annually hosted International Wedau Regatta, the team led by Tobias Weysters is once again delivering a major international rowing event in Duisburg. For the first time, the newly constructed Regatta Building on the western side of the course will be in operation throughout the championships, providing modern facilities for athletes, teams and guests.
Regatta Duisburg as Local Organising Committee
